Have you ever watched that show called "It takes a thief"? In it, these ex-burglars case houses, and then approach the homeowner, and challenge them to at a later unsuspecting date, break in and steal their possessions. The homeowner in return is provided a state of the art security make over from the show. It is a real eye opening show, and you should see some of the large mean dogs that cower when they break in. They also have cameras set up in these home prior to the break in, and you see everything that happens. I just searched the discovery channel website, and don't know if the show is still on, but there are some helpful tips and previous show videos on the site. This may be beneficial to Richard.
Thank God!.. Its a good escape for me!!...

Yup. I saw this earlier and am waiting for the other shoe to drop. 'Can't really do anything until then.

Any luck finding your guitars, Richard? If you don't...what are your plans?

   Nada. My wife wants me to out in a claim for them and the TV, but I am currently resistant as this would be the second one this year and I still have some hope of finding the ones I had.
The detective on the case called the other day, I think it was Tuesday, to say that 3 SG's had been pawned, but none were even close. All were 1970 and later.
My wife wants me to get another 12-string, and I want one also. She loves hearing me play a 12, and it's not so LOUD as an electric so as to disturb her.
Even my mother (87th birthday yesterday, 09/23 BTW) wants me to get another 12-string. When she visited earlier this year, I played a bit one night and she had said then that she forgot how well I played. Little did/does she know just how rusty I really am.
It's hard to explain exactly, but I don;t have a music store that I really trust here, like I did when I lived in Pa. I was there so much that I got to know their inventory and staff personally. they got to know me and suggested things that I never would have believed I was interested in...
e.g. In the early '90's I went in specifically looking for a used Gibson Les Paul, and I found one. The salesman said he would not sell me the guitar unless I also bought an ES-125 that they had on consignment. I could barely afford the Paul let alone an instrument that I hardly ever heard of and was not in the market for.
I bought them both and the 125 has become one of my favorite guitars. The Les Paul... I sold about 3 yrs ago because it was sitting in my closet not being played for years at a time.... not that I didn't play it regularly at one time.
Even the Strat!! Yes, I know they are all machine made these days, and the AM series are all made in the same plant in California, and they should sound and feel much alike, but I own (owned) TWO Strats. The AM Plus which by all rights should be a better guitar than the AM std that was stolen, yet I was much more in tune with the Std. It just "felt" right.

Oh, your a dog person, Ken. I am not an expert and have been questioning my own lately, but I don't see any signs of insanity from you.

BROKEN INTO TWICE LIKE WTF.. now you understand when i said i had no enemies when people were smashing my ****, it was really people doing dumb ****.. car got robbed... but since 3 months ago nothing has happened. Anyway good luck rich and i hope you catch those bastards because thats not right. My 2008 Mazda CX-7 is having a hellacious problem. Out of no where, all of the dash lights came on. CEL, airbag, traction control, abs, battery, etc. On top of that, the radio would only work when you turn the key on, but when the car is running, it won't work. The speedometer also does not work and when driving it doesn't shift back down to first gear. I took it to a Mazda dealership and they said it was the alternator; it was putting out 19 volts (normal ~13.5). They quoted me $700 to replace it and they said it would be a week before they could get the part. So, I found one at an auto parts store and replaced it myself. It is STILL putting out 19 volts! I ran the old alternator and the battery up to the auto parts store and had them test them and they both were good. The dealership is baffled. At the moment, I am waiting to hear back from them because they had to call their tech line to see what it could be. I've swapped the relays and such to see if its a bad relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Default mazda6

hi just wanting a bit of information about my mazda6 if anyone can help.

My car engine started making a loud noise so i got the breakdown recovery to come have a look. When they turned my car on it was still making the noise and he said it was the flywheel and drove it onto the back of the truck and dropped it off at the garage. the garage had it 11 days before they even looked at it and then they had the cheek to ring me and said it was the flywheel but when they have looked at it the found that my crankshaft had snapped but i think they have snapped that while they were fixing my flywheel. I got on the phone to the breakdown and they said if the crankshaft was snapped the car engine would not even turn on for him to get it on the truck.
Can anyone tell me if this is true or can the car still start.

thanks ryan
