so here are pictures of the failed attempt like chef wants.
ok picture 1 mold torn off of the lense, because that stuff sucked picture 2 mold, still wet after 2 days dry time (box said 4 hours in room temp) picture 3 holy hell glue batman picture 4 used the pictures to remove the glue picture 5 with the pictures doing most of the removing I added in some goop off. Glad to hear you got the pieces off though. good luck with the glue, also good luck finding a glue that strong to replace it when you rebuild them. Make sure you do an even bead and take you time, no skimping. Have you seen how horrible it looks when there is moisture under a lens? While you have it taken off and such, it'd be a good idea to get PIAA stealth bulbs. They glow orange when on but are clear when off. That way you don't get a "orange dot in a clear ocean" look going on.

there is still alot of glue left in the casing
as far as the bulbs Ill consider that however there is a 2nd lense so it might block out the color. so we shall see. :) |
