Your governor had the right idea though...Stevie Ray Vaughan Day.
Stevie Ray Vaughan -- Tin Pan Alley.

You're quite right, VB!! One of my favorites. Too bad he had to die so we could all hear it. (Thanks, Jimmy!!)
But to answer the op's question, I'm not listening to anything right now... except these voices in my head keep getting louder, and louDER, AND LOUDER.....!!!!
OK, seriously now, I have AC/DC, If You Want Blood... in the playerright now, and Robin Trower, Live BBC Sessions coming up, and Blonde, "Live"after that. I'm a live music fan and old school too. I can't apologize for it.

Good taste so far. Here's something that'll make Virgin happy:
Stevie Ray Vaughan -- Life by the Drop.

Kansas?? Man, isTHAT old-school.
Kansas, along w/BTO and two other no-name bands, was my first rock concertwhen Song For America had just come out. Great album, btw.... better than Leftoverature, imo.

BTO sucked!! A couple'a fat old men in leather pants. Randy Bachman and Ted Turner had both put on some poundage after The Guess Who broke up. It was bogus, even for that time (1975.)
The only reason I stayed to watch them is because my gf wanted to see them more than Kansas. And though I knew nothing about Kansas at the time, they were who I wanted to see... that and free radio station tickets!! I wasn't disappointed. Kansas kicked *** w/a sound in rock that hadn't been heard before then. Leftoverature was there popular break-through album, and the beginning of the end for them too, but listen to what they were doing before then. Song for America and Masque are great albums. Some think their first was their best, but I disagree.
