I remember Jim Bruer. "Who's your favorite band? 'MetalliCA!'"

The Fratellis - Flathead.

They're definitely going on the CD.

Sent! You should get them next week sometime.

Nothing, because I just got home from work after the Manager's meeting, I was so hot that I had to strip, or should I say peel, off my clothes before thinking of anything else... except perhaps a cool rum & coke, though the clothes still went first. Yes, it is again over 100* here with some humidity. This summer has been brutal, even by Texas standards.

Vince,
If you insist on "paying me back," you should know that, with a very few exceptions, I am not a big fan of Greatest Hits compilations. That might also go for self-made compilations unless they are VERY well chosen.
The shuffle feature on any CD player is merely an extra button to me. Something I tried using once for the novelty of it.
I'm pretty much of a purest and prefer to hear an album from front to back as the band, singer/songwriter or producers had intended it to sound, for better or sometimes worse.

Warren Zevon - Lawyers, Guns, and Money (live).

Courtesy of Richard, whose CDs will be going out tomorrow. I hate the people at the Post Office.

You should have seen him do it live on that tour. A friend of mine and I saw him in a little club in Allentown, Pa one night (a big club for Allentown.) We were right up front the whole time. It was just him, his guitar and a piano. I love concerts like that when its right. He did get a little long in the tooth sometimes (e.g. I could have done w/less intro to Roland) but overall an experience I'll never be able to repeat and never forget.

I am listening to the sounds of my empty guitar room... missing my SG, Strat and of course the old standby, 12-string.
I wish they would catch this moron!! I check Craigslist and eBay every day, but nothing. Not likely the cops will do much more than they already have either.

If it's any consolation, I'm pooling my money in preparation to buy my first? I've fallen in love with a creme Tele, but I can't afford or warrant a Fender yet. Looking at Squire Teles.

Alter Bridge - Blackbird.

This is my favorite on the album, I love how powerful his voice is on this track.

Yeah, that's one I like a lot too.
I think I posted that one a few pages ago too.

The Moody Blues - Wildest Dreams (on the overhaed @ work.)

No Tele's in my family. Electrics are 1 Kramer hollow body, 3 Ibanez guitars of various models (1 Jet King, 1 S37OGP, and one generic Ibanez), and then there are the 5 acoustic guitars....yeah Dad and my brother have something of a guitar habit.

Blue October - Come in Closer

"Something" is understated.

Richard, did your CDs arrive yet?
