dam talk about luck, i got kinda depressed until i found out he was alright. whoever "tied" those things down deserves an *** whoppin and get fired AND pay this doods medical bills.

I am glad the guy is OK and not to be a hard *** but, If he tied it down himself he needs to be fired, he was using straps on Metal, that is a BOZO NONO. If he didn't tie it down himself he needs to be fired, since he left the straps on the load. You always use Steel on Steel (Chains and Binders).
Plus it looks like the truck didn't have a headache rack, another DOT violation.

I don't think there are many truckers that don't secure their own load. I know I wouldn't trust anyone but myself.
